Announcing UniversitySite 2010

PRODUCT UPDATE:

A decade ago very few organizations understood what a learning management system was. Today many organizations now see the importance and value of employee development, are supplementing instructor led training with well designed eLearning, and they are utilizing learning management systems to drive the delivery and management of the training function.

Today organizations are also faced with balancing employee participation in both voluntary and mandatory training.  In an ideal world all employees should be motivated to continuously develop their skills, but unfortunately, in the real world organizations struggle to increase voluntary participation in training. Only a percentage of employees take advantage of voluntary training on a regular basis and it is not because the majority wouldn’t benefit from the training. The need for training is real, but the lack of adoption across the board is in large part due to poor marketing and execution.

UniversitySite 2010 sets out to address this challenge by leveraging key motivators to increase voluntary participation in training through the dynamics of social networking. “By utilizing key motivators, which include peer pressure, competitiveness, and leveraging interpersonal relationships within the organization, UniversitySite 2010 increases visibility and transparency among the learning community,” says Michael Barshinger, CEO of Profisciencē Partners. “We are taking the learning activity that the LMS has traditionally tracked and exposing it to employees in new ways and in more places including throughout SharePoint.”

UniversitySite 2010 will be released later this year. For more information contact info@profiscience.com.
