Profisciencē Partners Announces SkillSite Excel and PowerPoint assessments

DALLAS, Tx – Jan. 1, 2011 – Profisciencē Partners (http://profiscience.com) is pleased to announce that SkillSite competency-based assessments are now available for Microsoft Excel 2010 and PowerPoint 2010 in addition to our assessments for Microsoft Word, MacPac, iCreate, and Innova.

Designed exclusively for law firms, our assessments focus on the unique skill sets particular to the legal environment instead of testing on features that legal users are unlikely to ever be required to employ. Like our Word assessments, our Excel 2010 and PowerPoint 2010 assessments require users to complete tasks corresponding to specific core competencies identified as baseline skills required for legal document production.

SkillSite is the only assessment product in the legal market that integrates with the LMS to provide personalized learning plans. ILTA 2011 “Technology Implementation of the Year” Vendor Award

Profisciencé Partners is extremely honored to have been nominated for the prestigious Technology Implementation of the Year Vendor Award, to be announced at the ILTA 2011 Conference at Gaylord Opryland in Nashville on Thursday, August 25 at the ILTA awards dinner.

The judge’s panel has reviewed all nominations and we’ve been ranked in the top three, which means our organization is on the Shortlist to win the award.

Profisciencé Partners has been nominated for its work in implementing SkillSite at Akin Gump, an Assessment Management System designed to assess, score, and track results for measuring baseline document formatting skills. Akin Gump was able to utilize their Office upgrade to assess the legal document production skills of its secretaries and produce individualized, prescriptive learning plans that increased proficiency of employees by 30% following completion of their learning plans. But did you know that there is also a new school of thought on intranets from a learning and development perspective? As intranets are re-examined in preparation for SharePoint 2010, it’s looking more and more like SharePoint will be the learning portal, if not the learning center of the future. New features for SharePoint Learning Kit released today

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of a new version of the SharePoint Learning Kit (SLK) for UniversitySite.  This version includes several enhancements to existing web parts and a new web part for MySite pages.  In addition, the SLK now includes a synchronization process dubbed “ListMaker.”

ListMaker enables UniversitySite courses, events, and learning resources to be accessed from a SharePoint search and enables UniversitySite events to be displayed on SharePoint’s native Calendar web part, including the ability to overlay UniversitySite’s classes on existing Calendars.

Enhancements:

  1. Pagination for all web parts
  2. Ability to remove prefix and number in web parts
  3. A new My Recent Activity customizable web part that will display an individual’s recent activity
  4. Page viewer web parts auto-size eliminating the need for a scrollbar

  1. eLearning – Ability to create presets for eLearning settings and apply them to content
  2. eLearning – SCORM engine has been updated to the latest version on www.scorm.com at the time of development
  3. eLearning – Ability to bulk upload Course content for eLearning and Instructor-led courses
  4. Events – Ability to copy remote extensions with events making repeat scheduling of the same course easier (Marti Phillips, Richard Lobel, Ken Manford, Drew Nishioka, John Attinger)
  5. Time zones – Time zones are associated with locations and can be automatically applied to users based on their location
